Which device protocols are supported?

Multidomo supports by now X10 and EIB/KNX protocols. Shortly we will support other standars like Zwave, Insteon, Lonworks, Zigbee, etc.

Why Internet?

Multidomo is a service for the new generation digital home so it must be integrated with existing and future technologies. The number of connected devices is growing everyday making Internet available at anytime everywhere from the office to the car or in the street. Connecting your home to Internet trough Multidomo gives you more possibilities to interact with your home.
Furthermore, as Multidomo is an online service, you can benefit from automatic updates and new functionalities in a transparent way.
The service is designed to integrate with other providers like alarm stations, supermarkets, maintenance services, fuel suppliers, or remote attendance for dependent people.

Could someone gain access to my home?

All data traffic between Internet and your home is based on present encryption standards like when connecting to a bank online.
In order to access your home, you will always need a password, or an electronic certificate signature, depending on the device from which you are connecting. For example to connect using a mobile phone, you will previously need to register that terminal in Multidomo identifying it with its IMEI code.
All information stored in Multidomo servers will only be managed by means of automatic processes and never by people. Images coming from your home will never be stored in Multidomo servers. Every data is always considered as confidential.
